About Counselling & Psychotherapy
Counselling/psychotherapy are known as talking therapies. This involves talking to a professionally qualified counsellor such as myself, who will provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment for you to explore any difficulties you are currently experiencing or events from your past. Therapy can help you become more accepting of yourself and reconnect you with your strengths and resources, so you can look ahead to your future.
People come for counselling for a variety of reasons including:
- A difficult life event such as divorce, redundancy or a traumatic incident
- Relationship issues
- Low self-confidence/esteem
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Bereavement
- Emotional and/or physical abuse
- Issues related to childhood
- Difficulty coping with the pressures of home and/or work
- Feeling empty or dissatisfied with life
